actually, if they have been that bad, then email their CEO. If the guy is still there that I spoke to, then he should be able to help. Plus it is always nice to be able to moan direct to the man at the top.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

If you dont like someone, then recommend uk2.net to them!

These guys should be shut down - their business practices are appalling.

Their support both the free and fully managed are staffed by people with no knowledge of servers.

They will lose you customers, and possibly your online business.

do yourself a favour and pay a bit more for a quality provider.

uk2.net lure you in with cheap prices and then you are well and truly buggered.

They have cost me over 2k in lost business in the last month and wiped bespoke web applications/systems worth over 4k - we paid for backups but it transpires these were never carried out despite us having tickets with them confirming this was done.

No offer of a refund, no apologies, they simply do not give a flying fcuk about their customers.

The attitude is f you pay me.

I am a UK2 customer and have mixed feeling about their whole business, however email spam is not one of the problems I have had from them (surprisingly ??).

I have done a lot of email marketing for my business and can in SOME ways understand when mistakes creep in to the process. I migrated my full list across to a different bulk email provider and a software error caused some of my opt-outs to be opted back in. WOW, did I feel the full force of their complaints - seriously it was like I had killed somebody!!!

The fact is when you catch somebody on a bad day this kind of error is incredibly frustrating and I feel people's pain on this. I am generally thankful that most companies do get in right most of the time.

Please don't remove it.

I'll be frank here. The only problem I am having with eShop, or have ever had with eShop, is that the only merchant gateway I can use with it is the Paypal one. There are the other gateways, sure, but none of them are viable or, in the case of one, will approve my account based on numbers. I need Google checkout and wepay. A lot. But I also am smart enough to watch your development and remember when you looked into adding the Google gateway and determined it would be too costly.

Beyond that one hitch, I absolutely love my eShop. The theme works great. It looks great. Adding items is a breeze. You allow sales for downloadable products, as well as the option to give an item away for free. I've tried a LOT of other shop plugins, and the only other one that matched what I'm looking for charged too much a month. You don't charge anything. You only ask for donations.

Those that can't be bothered to tell you more than "couldn't get it to work"? Chances are they just aren't computer savvy to begin with. "Couldn't get it to work" was probably all they even knew how to give you for input. It's kind of "My bone is broken" and you're asked "which part? The tibula or the fibula?" and you can only say "ummm... my leg... somewhere."

I wish my shop made actual money, because I'd give you the donations your plug in deserves. I wish I had money, period. LOL. Hang in there. You've done a fabulous thing.

Happy Customer!

Well mostly. The auto renew feature is low, but other than that I've been happily hosted by them for nearly 10 years.

I had a problem with my email today and they got back to me within 10 minutes.

My site has never knowingly been down, and my email (webmail too) has always worked when I've needed it.

My only complaint is that sometimes the instructions aren't explicit. For instance it isn't obvious that the email supports IMAP as well as POP3, but it does.

Also I've been paying for DNS management because I didn't realise you could get this for free. I'm a bit clueless of such things, and will be looking in to it come renewal time.

All in all though they serve me well.
