Start of the local xxxx-server failed

The called local server can not be started. The most frequent cause: another program already uses the required TCP-Port of the server, e.g., virus-scanner for E-mails - as for example " Norton's anti-virus " (NAV). This is announced even as a POP3-Server by the operating system. The second hamster (from another catalogue than the already running hamster) could also be the cause. Remedy creates here the use of another Port number for the local server. Then this change must be put down naturally also in the news or E-mail-Client/Reader, because would be accessed apart from that not the hamster, but just the other program. Another possibility is also a Firewall (e.g., zone alarm) whose rules only must be adapted for the use the Ports by the hamster poss. In this case the manual or the help the corresponding Firewall is to be consulted.
