Menu: attitudes(settings) / mail (server) / mail-server SMTP
Send mails in (server, Port...):
Here the mail servers are put down about which E-mails should be sent.
In order to add a server SMTP the switch(counter)
[new] is to be operated. Then in the window the server name and when required the server-Port (by a comma is to be given separated) (e.g., " pop.meinprovider.de, smtp " or shortly "pop.meinprovider.de").In order to delete a server SMTP the switch(counter)
[deleting] is to be operated. If the SMTP-server requires the SMTP AUTHENTICALLY procedure,
the required information (activation, name and password) can be put down with the switch(counter) [attitudes([settings]) in the dialogue itself present under it.( See also " files and catalogues " for details).
The password-fields can have three conditions:
-
User's name and password questions " on {questions} " Of the hamster only when required.- "
{Set} " The hamster stores the data in the file " passport Word.!!! " From (see indication).- "
{Empty} " The hamster applies no authentication.Important indication to the password:
The passwords become
a passport Word in the file ".!!! " Stored. Never leave this file to other persons, also then not if you have problems with their(her) accesses or similar problems! The entries in the file "
passport Word.!!! " Are encoded with the "Blowfish" algorithm. The kryptografische key applied for it contains - according to attitude(setting) - u.a. some system information (PC-name, operating system-version etc) and the Anmeldenamen.Certainly, this complicates the use of a stolen password-file, but the general acceptance that the coding of a file coded with this algorithm 100% is sure, is wrong. However, correctly is that this procedure is essentially safer than one storage in the clear text or in with ROT13 or XOR to veiled files.
Preferred server:
The SMTP-server opposed here is applied to the dispatch by mails if more than one SMTP-server is put down. In order to select the server this is to be pretended in the list and the switch(counter)
[choosing] to operate
