Wii arrived today – now how to turn it off!

and already I have a sore arm, must learn not to be so violent with it! Dan was first, then came Jack and now me. Though I am yet to reach this magic 20, I did get 52 on my first attempt, and feel confident I can improve a bit on that.

But just how do you turn a remote off? Using the standby button turns the Wii off, even if you leave the room to do it, so how do you turn the things off?

Hogfather is coming

A much anticipated event for those of us in the UK, in a little under 2 weeks time Sky will be showing Hogfather. This is the first adaptation of the Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett (well first that includes real actors).

Sky are going the, erm, whole hog, sorry, and have released a micro site – Hogfather on Sky One. This features some behind the scenes clips, and also ‘The 12 days of Hogswatch’. This series of shorts features DEATH talking to round world people.

The behind the scenes footage is interesting to see, I just hope that when the DVD is released all these little extras get included as well.

The site also features character and cast biographies and much more besides!

Unfortunately the site is useless when it comes to web accessibility sigh.
