Wordbank

Posted Apr 25th, 2007 by Rich

The DRC have, according to Ouch!, started to use a service provided by Wordbank.

It seems strange that the DRC promote accessibility, including Web accessibility and yet employ the services of a company that flout the guidelines! they may display a W3C WAI AA WCAG 1.0 Logo but thier site leaves a lot to be desired. They are using invalid mark-up, tables for layout, an imperfect flash implementation, and possibly more.

What hope have we got when a prime force in web accessibility doesn’t follow the standards, I feel that the DRC have made a grave mistake.
